Product is not an exact copy but does fit once you remove the collar from around the neck.

Incompatible with existing PFC-8000 as the body is different hence does not seal when fitted. Do not BUY this product without getting confirmation that it is compatible. This is the second time we found spares wrongly identified as compatible and only to have to return them for refund. The box arrived with a "PFC-12000" label. If you attempt to use this unit, there is a risk of a electrical fault as water flow past the seal!! Photo attached, the left hand item is PFC-8000 and the right hand unit is marked on box as PFC-12000. The size of the body is different and the O Ring is in a different position and smaller to the original plus on the wrong end of the body hence the disharge water bypass the seals.

Perfect replacement. Really pleased that these are available. Saves around £100 compared with the complete pond filter.Pond is now clear again.

it works but i am going to buy another brand of filter...this is way to hard to open each year to change the blub...

Useless.The plastic seal and rubber ring stops the ballst from going into the filter so if you take it off, water leaks out the top of the filter/ballast so it stops working due to water touching the electrics.Then the bulb sticks into the unit and breaks when you take it out.

Unfortunately this unit worked for about a month then packed up, i did the normal diagnostics changed bulbs checked power but nothing.

Terrible. They sent me faulty filter twice and they are not answering to my emails. The seller don't have any number to call at.

Sadly it did not work. Tried several new lamps ,checked the usual connection fuses etc but no luck .
