DIY Adjustable Magnetic Fly Screen Window Screen with Small Window fits max 79X 145cm Window net Magnetic mesh

I always struggled to find a great mosquito net for British windows but this one is definitely a perfect match. It took me a moment to figure out how to properly install it but it comes with a video so it was easy enough. I’m extreamly happy with it as I can easily open the window without any struggle, the product is 100% functional and great quality. Great value for money.

I've bought three lots of this product over the last couple of years, for two bedrooms and a bathroom. It comes well packed, with clear instructions and is easy to put up if you take your time and measure everything twice. If you don't take care, I imagine it could look pretty awful, but if you make sure the mesh is pulled tight enough to sit flat, it gives a really good result and looks very unobtrusive.The one slight problem I have with it is that my windows open outwards (so mesh needs applying inside) but the handles are quite bulky, so when the window is closed, the mesh won't sit flat. I, therefore, had the choice of either leaving the mesh looser to accommodate this or accept that with the windows closed the mesh won't seal properly along one side. I opted for the second as it doesn't matter about a good seal when the window is closed - I much prefer the mesh to sit perfectly when the windows are open during the warmer weather. We can always remove the mesh entirely for the winter. A third option, which I went for on Velux windows in the attic, is to fix the film across the whole window opening rather than around the edge of the window. This only works if you either don't have or don't want to use a windowsill.I will definitely buy this kit again. As a bonus, as I had to cut the mesh to size, I found I had plenty of mesh and magnets left over to do a smaller window in a second bathroom (and extra magnets to solve an unrelated curtain problem elsewhere!). It didn't come with the corner pieces (I believe you can buy very similar ones separately if you want them), but it is absolutely fine without as they're only really cosmetic.A slight downside with the third kit I bought is that the mesh smells a bit. It's in a newly refurbished bathroom and we thought there was an electrical problem for a day or two, so spent ages feeling for hot spots and sniffing various electrical stuff in the area! It turned out to be the screen, which was a relief, but also a bit of a shame. It's like a hot electrics/melting plastic smell. It wouldn't put me off buying again - assuming it fades in time - but worth being aware of if you're using them. We wasted a lot of time and nearly called the electrician back!

Just finished putting it up & looks great! I don’t recommend putting it up on your own. As a young woman doing this with weak thumbs it took me almost 2 hours to put up😫🤣Not as easy as it looks to install but does the job & now I can keep my cat safe & keep out all the bugs😁👍

I can’t fault this window screen! I bought it mainly so I can open my bedroom window wide in the summer without my cats getting out but also keeping flies/mosquitoes out.It took just over an hour to install as I took my time. I’d highly recommend watching the video, there’s a QR code on the instruction sheet. (The video is better than the instructions sheet)I love the small window for the handle as with a lot of other nets you have to keep lifting the edge of the net to open/close your main window.This is straightforward and it looks great. Apart from the small window you can’t actually see the net.The quality is good, the magnetic strips are strong, the adhesive is great and it’s great value for money. One of the most expensive screens but you definitely get what you pay for.We used it for the first time last night and the bedroom was much cooler and my cats were safe!

Thought I could save some money by not buying the leading brand of Velcro window screens. I cannot stress enough how big of a mistake that was. I spent an hour putting it together and the result is a lopsided, frayed, ugly piece of garbage with zero structural integrity that keeps coming apart at the joints. The instructions are clear but lacking essential details so you think you’re doing it right until you get it all together and realise it isn’t right at all. The locks are useless, the magnets are poor, the mesh framing mechanism keeps coming undone. It’s just awful. It does not work if your window frames have a slight curve or bevel, and the magnets release from the frame with a gentle push. Honestly, a piece of mesh secured with masking tape would have been just as good and a lot cheaper and less stressful. I hate hate hate this product. I want my money and my time back.

If you buy this then you should check how much width you have on the window frame. I would recommend at least 1.5cm. Otherwise it's quite a good system.

Solid product, well made , easy to install.Using it on my boat and , so far, very pleased.It attached really well and is so easy to use, max 15 minutes per window.Highly recommend to bug proof your boat

Great net. Takes some patience to fit but if done correctly and the installation video followed word by word then works out great.Ensure window has atleast 2.5- 3cm flat surface all around to fit both the magnetic strip and on one side the small window tape.
