Perfect for 1979 RX7 with easiest installation ever
Alternator works great. One wire to the battery and it starts charging once the engine is running. It allowed me to remove a bunch of unnecessary wiring in my old 1979 RX7 while providing plenty of charging power for my electric fans. I can highly recommend this alternator to replace old and hard to come by alternators for classic cars.

Easy wiring
It came on time. Nice looking alternator I have electric fan electric water pump on 1970 c-10 With a 454. It gave me all the power. I need to run everything including the radio, and the lights.Just what I needed

Works well…. But whines.
The media could not be loaded. I will say this is performing better than the stock-ish 63 amp sbc alternator. However….It was supposed to arrive on Saturday May 17 with a 2-day shipping, then got pushed to May 19, and then it arrived May 21. Not that big of a deal, but still annoying. The box showed up and appeared to be thrown all over during transit. The alternator appears to be working producing sufficient voltage, however it produces a high pitch whine sound when put under a load. At normal idle with no significant amp draw it doesn’t make a sound and appears to have smooth operation. Once I turn on the electric fan (drawing 10 amps), the headlights (roughly drawing 12-15 amps, and the turn signal, that’s when the whine arises. And no, it’s not the electric fan noise, it’s the higher pitch whine. Not sure if it’s from assembly or not, but it also produces a quite odd smell when in operation. Not so much a burning smell, but something on the hot side.Kind of torn on the stars because it’s providing good volts and the truck doesn’t bog when all the electrical load is applied, but that high pitch whine has me concerned… and annoyed.
