Great Product and Easy to Install - some things to be aware of
This is a great well made product, and pretty easy to fit for someone with reasonably good DIY skills - I'm very pleased with it. However there is a couple of things I would like to have known before I started installing it:1. The help video on the Schartec website appears to only to available in German. It's still helpful - you can watch what they're doing, but I had to rely on some basic school German from 30 years ago to pick up the odd key word!2. It tells you in the instructional video to fit the motor unit to the rail near the beginning of the installation process. I would advise not to do this, as once it's fitted you can't adjust the position of the carriage inside the rail - for example when you want to adjust so you can connect the rail to the garage door. Take note how big the motor unit is so you don't install the rail in wrong way, but I would fit it to the rail at the end after everything else has been done.3. The metal strips which you use to suspend the rail from the garage roof were (in my case) way too short for the distance required. If the garage ceiling is just above the door height then you should be ok. Otherwise like me you'll need to buy some angle and cut it to right length to suspend the rail so it's exactly horizontal.Hope this helps!

Had a chain driven one and the difference is fantastic this belt driven one is so much quieter, well made and good appearance

Brilliant - but supplied with euro plug and UK adaptor
Why does this come with a Euro plug and UK adaptor, works fine but sticks a long way out of the socket.The opener itself is a quality bit of gear, easy to assemble and install, very smooth, quiet and reasonably fast, well packed. Modified to work off my phone using a £10 USB powered inching wifi switch - works perfectly.Ordered Wed - Dispatched Fri and arrived Monday.

not a patch on the old Force plus 100 for all round performance
Previously I had 2 force plus 1000 garage door openers, the Schartec Move 1000 speed recently purchased as a straight replacement disappointed, it is slower to raise the garage door the old remote controls worked up to 30yds away the new remotes less than 10yds away sometimes have to press several times
