Brilliant and well worth the money
Bought two of these to replace some fittings I wanted to take during a house move. Other reviewers seem disappointed with how flimsy they are but for the price they work and once on the ceiling the "flimsiness" is not an issue. My electrician had them up in moments and they are a wonderful bright light and a trusted brand which is always good to have.

Nice bright light and easy to fit . Great value for money too.

Cheap and functional, but limited in fitting options.
Got this to replace a similar LED light which failed after only a few years, also Philips, so hopefully just bad luck. Anyway you can only insert the mains wires through a hole in the the backing plate, coming straight out the roof, but mines was surface mounted in a conduit. There is no facility to insert the wires from the side, as I needed, so it required some cutting of the metal backing and a little fiddling about.Once installed its really good, not the most decorative, but it's only in a utility room. As long as it lights up the room, which it does really well, who cares how plain it looks.Plus it cost less than £9, and I couldn't find a similar light locally for under £20, so a complete bargain.

Extremely light and flimsy for a reason
Arrived well protected and that was needed, as weight of a feather and very flimsy. However, this makes total sense when fitting. As no weight means can be stuck or screwed directly to the ceiling plaster without fear of pulling out.Bright for size, replaced a light over our breakfast bar as glare on magazines making puzzles a pain. However, the defused light from this fitting makes reading easy. Not sure if this is an LED thing or this fitting specifically but much easier to read by.Fitted in seconds as screwed directly into plaster with a stubby screw but could be stuck up at this weight.

Nice and bright
Bright, easy to install. Feels a little flimsy and cheaply made, but once it is up you wouldn't know.

Very flimsy, ok if there're somewhere you don't need to look at them!
They're 'cheap'n'cheerful' that's about it. The plastic 'shades' are very this and can be squashed easily. I bought them to go in a loft where they're fine, but I wouldn't put them anywhere I was going to see them.
