I needed this for a backyard grading and pool leveling project, so it's primary use was in the great outdoors. Only problem is that the receiver would only detect the laser if it was within six inches of the rotary laser beam. It was a bright sunny day in a Southern state. Maybe it's better on a cloudy day, but who can pick and choose to work based on cloud cover other than a cloud seeding company.......And the manual is poorly written. Then English isn't too bad. It just does not make sense in most cases, and is thin on real information.

The functions offered by this model allow for a decent variety of different uses. The receiver can be a little touchy with response to achieving the zero set point. The receiver bracket doesn’t open big enough for the width of a standard level.

It works great.I lost the charger for it! Does anyone know what charger is used to recharge it?

I have had this 10 months, used it once right after purchasing, stored dry and climate controlled and now the Lazer indicator isn't working on my second use. The Berger Lazer I previously used lasted over 20 years.Vevor did make good - replace defective with new and all is well. Thank you!

As a basic use laser transit, this meets the needs. Has all the goodies, but some aspects are slightly less expensive, but all the basic functions are here. Sturdily built, decent design, worth the price of you don't need one that handles everyday use.The biggest con is disassemblely required to change out rechargable batteries. But seems to be fully functional at a fraction of the price, recommended.UPDATE: 6 months in, laser paid for itself on the first job, everything still functions perfectly, biggest con is the case it comes in, looks like a piece of luggage...🙄 Highly recommended, even for the twice the price !!.

Storage box the laser was damaged! The locking latch was broken off 😡
