These work very well. If you tilt them in your freezer and the water seeps out, u will have a flat spot on your cube. Make sure they're kept level. It can take a little muscle to get these out of the tray if you don't let them sit outside of the freezer for a few minutes.This might seems like common sense but don't bang these against a surface to pop them out. They can and probably will crack. I recommend letting them sit at room temp or run it under hot water for a few seconds, or twisting the tray.The design of these trays is brilliant. You don't have to top fill these so it's relatively quick to make these.I use these at work in cocktails, like an old fashioned. They work as intended. They're the perfect size and the trays stack well. I also like that it came with a container to store the ice.Freezing with hot water can give you a more clear ice cube ;)

This exceeded my expectations. The description was too good to be true, but the product is actually well-designed, and the materials are very sturdy and good quality. After freezing the water for 24 hours, the round ice cubes were perfectly formed, and they popped out of the trays easily after running some water over them for a few seconds. I purchased the 2.5-inch size ice balls that fit perfectly in my glass. It makes 8 balls per tray and comes with 2 trays for a total of 16 ice balls. It also comes with a storage container that holds 16 ice balls. It takes a minute of experimenting to discover how to separate the top and bottom sections of the trays (they have an area on one side to put your fingers and pull the trays apart). Once to you discover it, it is very easy to do. Also, the storage top pulls open easily once you discover to put your fingernail or a knife blade where the top connects to the storage bin and pull the top up. Easy! The product is not dishwasher safe, but who would do that anyway? This product is much better than the smaller molds I have tried to use in the past, and real ice is much better than the fake ice options. I recommend the product.

It takes a little practice to get the knack of filling them just right so the ice comes out fully spherical, and closing the mold is best done over the sink since water will come squirting out. With that said, these are the perfect size for my highball glasses, and just 3 of them will keep the water in my Yeti fully chilled for 12 hours work days in 85° temperatures. They come out of the mold easily, too.

Worth every penny. I love this set. I tend to chew ice cubes and these are a huge deterrent and I'm hoping it will help save my teeth in the long run. My husband drinks scotch so I thought this would be a nice gift but it's easier for him to just get the ice from the ice maker.It's a bit of a learning curve figuring out how much water to put in the trays but once you do the balls turn out really nice. I go just above the fill line (maybe 1/4"). These trays are awesome because it's hard to spill them and easy to release. Just run water over them for a few seconds and they pop right out.

I was looking for a good way to make large solid cubes, specifically for homemade Old Fashioned drinks. This is very easy to use based on the instructions included. After only a few steps, the mold goes into the freezer to marinate. Once done, the cubes come out in a perfect solid size. You do have to make sure you have adequate space in your freezer to fit both the mold and the complete cube container. I'd say this a game changer!

The round ice balls are so much fun in a special drink. They last longer than a normal size ice cube. It takes a little getting used to when filling with water to get the full round ball but once you get the hang of it the results are worth it.

I’ve bought probably over a dozen ice cube trays only to use them once, throw them on top of the fridge, and then toss them once their covered in dust. But this tray and storage bin is the best, most practical system. I simply pour my left over coffee in the tray, stick it together and pop it in the freezer. Then after a few hours comes the fun part, I pop them out into the clear storage container and watch them stack up. They’re small and don’t take up much room in the freezer and just something about having that clear storage bin makes it so user friendly and easy to use. They also both have lids so you can stack them and stack other freezer items on top of them. I really didn’t like those open ice trays because of spillage and the thought of stuff falling into them and then in the ice cubes themselves. I was not expecting such a quality of life increase due to this ice cube tray kit 😂 but it really is quite fabulous. I recommend you try it out and if all else fails I’m pretty sure it has free returns so why not?

Bought these last fall. They worked okay at first, but even though I filled them exactly to the line, they never really came out right. I wash them periodically with a sponge, but now the ice balls have started sticking to the molds, cause pieces to crack off when I open them.I have some other molds from another manufacturer that make larger spheres for bourbon, etc. and they work great. Sadly these just don't.
