Follow the Science: How Big Pharma Misleads, Obscures, and Prevails

In this time of deception, we need independent voices to tell the truth about what is happening in the world. The author Sharyl Attkisson nails it in Follow the Science. I first I listened on Audible but the information is so explosive I had to buy the hardcover book. Everyone must read to understand how the medical system is being perverted against us for the profit of big pharma, how the peer review system has been corrupted and doctors have sold their integrity for profit.

Good reading and knowledge.

Everyone needs to read this book as a preventative protection. Knowledge of the subject matter and just how unreliable our medical system is in certain ways is essential as far as I'm concerned and I'm an RN. I bought several copies and gave to my loved ones. It's easy to read and Sharyl Attkinsson is a favorite investigative journalist that I trust.

If you care about your health, and that of your loved ones, Follow the $cience is essential reading.Sharyl Attkisson, an intrepid journalist in the truest sense, has written a compelling book that is the culmination of her investigations into the medical field: the CDC, the NIH, medical schools, medical studies, medical journals, medical research, and Big Pharma. Spoiler alert: much of what you have been told is not true. Many of the organizations/entities listed above are severely compromised by financial conflicts of interest.Agencies that people tend to trust have published things that are not true, while the truth is hidden if it might adversely impact a bottom line. Meanwhile, your health is at risk.Much of the book will (and should) make you angry, as you read the misinformation that has been promulgated, and why. There is a chapter, however, that provides hints for identifying misinformation and propaganda (such as the use of the expression "the science is settled"). It also contains a list of sources of medical information that historically have been reliable. This resource is invaluable.Too many of us have left our health in the hands of "the professionals." We have not taken an active role in educating ourselves. It's time for us to flush the misinformation we've been given, and find the truth that has been hidden. This book is an excellent place to begin.

Sharyl does a great job exposing the corruption in the pharmacy world. This book dives deep into the lies and half-truths of big Pharma and how the government helps keep it that way. This book is easy to read and follow. I took away a star because I was disappointed in how Sharyl does not include footnotes or references on such an important topic (with the exception of one chapter). I would love to have the references to share with friends/family who buy into the lies of big Pharma. Take a look at RFK's book "The Real Anthony Fauci". It has several references/footnotes on every page! That's how this book should be footnoted. I believe every word this book says but, come on Sharyl, give me the proof so I can expose this to my friends and family.

In days gone by - Americans relied upon the ‘free press’ to expose government and corporate wrongdoing. For the most part, we don’t have the type of investigative reporting in the mainstream we need and deserve to be well informed - especially on topics related to the health and well-being of our children and grandchildren. The truth related to scientific journals, drugs, vaccines, wireless radiation and more needs to be exposed - and it is being covered up. Well-crafted propaganda, the VERY BEST money can buy, is being pushed out to us day in and day out. Bottom line, we are on our own. Period. Our doctors are getting the same propaganda we are getting. In Follow the Science, Sharyl Attkisson delivers the unvarnished truth we all deserve, and her message is crystal clear – do your own research and never blindly trust your own governmental agencies or scientific journals. And you will learn why in this book. The corruption within Big Pharma and their government and media partners - and many other partners too - is impossible to believe until you read example after example. I think the public is starving for this book - because the public is starving for the truth. Fortunately, there are practical ways to assess a lot of the information we are getting and there are trusted resources as well - and you will learn about those topics too. I do believe hope springs eternal.
