This is a fun tool to have for macro photography. It's obviously super easy to use, it's comfortable in my hand. It looks great. If it's in my camera bag, no problem. It doesn't weigh a lot. And the results of the photos are fun to play with.If you're looking to expand the kind of photography you're doing, this is a great place to start. It makes you see the world in a different way. And the edited photos are fantastic!

This is a fun filter that will add a kaleidoscope effect to your photos or videos. The filter will make your photos or videos to look like there multiple reflections of the image as seen on the review photos. The filter glass is thick and heavy and the ring is made of aluminium or a similar kind of metal. Also, the filter is a bit heavy and is really weird to handle as you can't attach it to the lens, you need to manually put it in front of the lens and hold it with the two finger handle, so, if you do manual focus, it can be hard to use it. Besides this, overall, thisis fun filter if you like to add a different effect to your photos or videos.

Although very few people need this filter, it's an absolutely fun addition to the kit. As with any kaleidoscope, it produces images that will surprise if not delight you. Using this filter adds a whole new dimension to the art of photography.The filter is solid. NEEWER is justifiably known for quality photography products, and the filter is made of heavy-duty glass. I don't want to drop it, but I'm guessing it might not break if I did. Using the filter, conversely, takes some practice because you need one hand just to hold it. It might be easier if the filter were a screw-on, and you might be able to rig it so that it stays in one place, but half the fun comes from moving the filter around and flipping it to see what results.I've only started to explore what I can do with this filter, but so far it's transformed a rather boring garden into an intriguing landscape, as the before and after photos show.

I ordered this NEEWER 77mm Handheld Kaleidoscope Prism Lens Filter to use for photography special effects.This filter produces an interesting effect. There will be a central image that is surrounded by a ring of dupicate images. Depending on the subject matter, you will love or hate this effect. Perhaps the best feature of this item, however, is that you don't actually attach it to your lens. Instead, you hold it in front of the lens by using the two-fingered grip. This provides a lot of flexibility in how you use the filter. It does mean, however, that you'll need to use just one hand to hold your camera and take the shot.It is easy to overuse a special effect like the one offered by this filter. In certain situations, though, it will add some pop to what would otherwise be a mundane image. The filter will reduce the overall sharpness but not as much as I've noticed with similar filters made of acrylic. The filter comes wrapped in one of those ubiquitous lens cleaning cloths and packed inside a carrying case.

This prism filter produces a kaleidoscope effect with clear central image surrounded by faceted images of the same subject.Used sparingly, the filter can produce stunning images of appropriate subjects.This filter is unique in that it is big - 77mm - and being all-glass, heavy. Another unique feature are two holes for your fingers so you can preview effects by moving the filter around the axis of your lens. (There is also a 1/4-20 tripod socket as well.) Again, in creative hands, stunning effects can be achieved.Personally, I really like the two-finger operation. I mount my camera on a tripod (even my iPhone) and move the filter around to get different effects. I haven't tried it yet, but you could also use a magic arm to hold the filter in front of the lens of a tripod mounted camera.The filter comes in very sturdy fabric case which protects the filter.In terms of quality, it's top notch. In terms of usefulness, the reality is that its a novelty item and should be used sparingly.Jerry
