Overpriced and Outdated – Not the Advanced VR Headset It Claims to Be
The product listing and price give the impression that this is a standalone VR headset, but in reality, it’s just another phone-based viewer. You insert your smartphone into the front compartment, and the internal lenses allow you to view VR content from your phone screen. It functions reasonably well, but you’ll need a high-quality phone with a clear display to get the best experience. Setup was a bit fiddly, though the included Bluetooth controller worked okay. The build quality feels very lightweight and plasticky which doesn't match its advertised claims of being an “advanced high-tech product.”There’s a mechanical touchscreen button on the underside that presses the centre of your phone’s screen for certain app functions. Additional buttons (forward, back, play/pause) are also located underneath but don’t appear to work unless you're using a phone with a 3.5mm headphone jack which is odd, considering most modern phones (and the ones listed in the product details) no longer have one. I couldn’t test the built-in headphones for this reason. No apps come with the device; it just suggests finding your own on the Play Store. The fit is okay - slightly loose but it does allow room for glasses. Comfort is average, though the headset lets in a fair amount of external light, which breaks immersion.Overall, it’s a dated and mediocre device with limited compatibility and functionality. At £50, it’s definitely overpriced for what it offers.

Quite clunky and didn't work with my glasses prescription
As stated, quite clunky and didn't work with my glasses prescription, despite saying it adjusted for short-sightedness. Maybe my glasses are just too strong?

Comfortable and works well with my phone
My expectations weren't high with this, due to previous experience of these type of VR glasses. You do need a decent phone to drop into them, which has been a previous issue.I'm pleased to say, these far exceed my expectations. I've tested with a few VR videos on YouTube. Once adjusted to your eyes, the image is clear and in focus. It's actually quite good to use.It can feel a little clunky to begin with, but once you've got the lenses sorted out and the audio plugged in (which also controls from the buttons on the bottom edge)There's also a remote control, which saves having to remove your phone in between videos. The touch button for pausing videos is also a handy thing. It simply taps a stylus like button on the centre of the phone screen. For what it is, this works very well. It's comfortable to wear and is fairly good value, considering what it is. The design is also quite good and well thought through.Overall, these surprised me at ho well they work. I can definitely recommend them. They work well with my phone.
