smokin hot laptop for the money. better than any black friday deal ive seen.
the nvda founder's edition 4070 8 gigs of GDDR6 ram, accelerated ryzen 7, 2 terrabytes of nvme 2.0 hardrive space, 64 gigs of ddr5 ram and the oled screen (144hz) for under 2000$? wow 1600$ is the HP site black friday deal. ive used this for a week and i have yet to see ths laptop get warm, running Cyberpunk at DLSS atialiasing full texture, unlimited frames ray tracing, ultra everything, this runs 2077 at 239 fps or more. this is a sweet piece of hardware. the ada lovelace architecture in the gpu keeps these unit under 80 degrees celsius and thats just the chip, i can barely feel any heat, however when you go into to full render mode, the fan is very efficient and very loud, you can change the settings if you need to keep the fans to a minimum. im super impressed.side note im glad everything came installe that i wanted i did not want to have to open up another manufacturers seal to implant a bit of ram.now time to run the living turkey mode out of this beast to try and get a BSOD, im normally really good at maxing out any computer using photoshop while having 20 other apps open then getting into a heated battle of destiny 2 or diablo 4, fallout, starfield, at the same time. my last rig was the HP pavilion 1050 ti the gpu that started it all. it would run, just not everything at the same time. its nice being able to do whatever i want on this beast of a victus and without hinderance. and the load speed, good lord the load speed and the fps is *mwah* chef's kiss. and the back lit keys.... ok im nerding out on this function, there is a calculator key prompt! a friggin calc prompt! im always needing a calculator, an omen key prompt along with screen brightness and backlight brightness with speaker prompts and video keys. no need to know the windows function prompts.-cheers-btw the 4050 and the 4060s are not the same as the 4070, and the 4080 and 4090 arnt much better for being 1k-2k more, also if your looking at amd radeon, the cpus are great and meant to pair with nvda gpus however their cheapo gpus i would not put my money on unless its for a teenager or younger kid wanting to game, and even then...we will see the 40 series supers next year but is 2-4 more GDDR6 gigs, plus the time, and premium worth missing this deal? i dont think so. i finally pulled the trigger missing the 3090tis. and im not sorry one bit. this rig is 27% faster than the 3090ti benchmarked. ok cheers.

WARNING - Void Manufacturers Warranty
Main message: Primie Sales altered the original HP configuration which HP Support told me voids their warranty. My ordeal: Unfortunately after about 30 days the laptop screen died on me. It happens, but HP has a 1 year warranty so I thought no big deal they will replace or fix it. Well I was wrong, turns out that Primie Sales altered the original HP configuration which HP Support told me voids their warranty. This was never disclosed in the listing.Primie Sales broke the manufacturers seal and changed the internal components (RAM, SSD etc.) tied to the serial number on the laptop. HP said the laptop was not designed to handle the components which is why I was having issues, but since Primie voided the warranty they would not help.Next step, I reached out to Amazon figuring they could help. Unfortunately, I got a lot of lip service with no real help. Amazon said no problem just send it back to us. I explained it was open, used and I no longer had the packaging. They said, your are a premium member it is not a problem, rest assured you will get a full refund. Net Primie only issued a 50% refund so I am out $650 on a laptop that was defective on which they directly altered it causing the defect and voiding the warranty that would have gotten me a replacement. I have called and chatted with Amazon Customer Services multiple times. They have said they will get it resolved but in the end they never do anything.Net if you have a problem, you have no warranty and Amazon won't help if it happens after 30 days. Read the other reviews. This happened to someone else who posted a review just last month (unfortunately, after I bought mine)

Ultra Hifi settings at a discounted price
I really couldn’t believe it but yeah. These specs are tight. Great for someone new to the pc gaming space. Runs my entire Steam and Xbox Gamepass library on ultra settings—Helldivers, GTA, Battlefield 1, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Microsoft Flight Sim just to name a few. If you get this you probably won’t need an upgrade for a LONG time. I also got this because I’m so computational researcher, the 64 GB version of Ram is impressive. It helps a ton.Battery life is what you expect from a gaming laptop 3-4 hours maximum. Just keep it on the charger, you’ll have to replace the battery every year or so to keep it from general deterioration over time but it should be fine.I will say, the screen does feel cheaply built, a bit flimsy but the rest of it is pretty dense and chunky. But don’t treat this like a regular degular laptop. Treat it as a desktop and you should be fine.Overall incredible bang for your buck. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Fast for a development workstation.
Love this laptop. I set it up as a workstation instead of a gaming pc. Works great so far. Works well with Blender, Meshroom, VirtualBox, and msys.

TRASH!
I am so upset. I brought this computer to play games on and it does everything but that! I been playing the same game on a different laptop and one day I decided to get a stronger computer but it is trash. I even sent it back after resetting computer 3 times. After it was "fixed " it still the same. CPU heats up and then crash. Updated BIOS and other drivers and still bad. I brought this computer from a third party on Amazon so I would be very careful cause it looks like I have a high powered web searcher.

Works as expected.
Received this Victus a little later than promised but received in good condition. The specs were as described but the seller had upgraded an lower spec'd model with higher capacity RAM and SSD using non-HP parts. It works fine but be sure to check the model number to make sure it matches the HP model number and spec if that matters to you. Not a gamer but using it for video rendering so the 64GB RAM and NVIDIA card helps speed things up a bit.
