I purchased this item because our cats were always pawing at their water bowls which would cause the water to spill all over the place, so I looked up online why they might be doing this and learned that in the wild, cats will only drink water that is moving (like in a stream or river) to ensure they are getting clean water. So I checked Amazon and selected this model because (1) it was rechargeable and cordless, (2) was stainless steel, (3) had a water filter in it, and (4) had a motion detection feature that only turns on the water pump for a few seconds when movement is detected nearby. What a great invention! Our cats will still occasionally paw at even this waterer because I think old habits die hard, but because it is a few inches high off the ground and the extra weight of the large water reservoir prevents them from moving it very much or spilling water. Also, they drink A LOT more water than they used to, which is very important because many cat's kidney and bladder issues result from them not drinking enough water. It is whisper quiet, and the pump assembly can be easily removed from the lid to allow for easy cleaning (remember to remove the filter before cleaning so you don't get soap in the filter). The fountain assembly itself seems well constructed, and the battery life is awesome! We've had it running for more than a month on the original charge and it's still going strong. We loved it some much we bought one for our RV so that our fuzzy travelers would have the same waterer on the road that they use at home. Note that even though there is a 'MIN' and 'MAX' water line in the reservoir it really should be filled up to at least the bottom of the viewing window for the pump to work properly.IMPORTANT!!: When you refill the waterer, it's best to shut off the pump so that it doesn't run dry and risk damaging the pump assembly, but REMEMBER TO TURN IT BACK ON ONCE YOU REFILL IT AND CHECK THAT IT'S WORKING!! My wife forgot to do this one time and we wondered why our one cat was yowling all day, and it wasn't until I went upstairs to see what his issue was and check their food and water that I realized that the pump was off and the reservoir on the lid where they drink from was completely dry! :-( We now know the yowling translated to "Hey stupid human, we're thirsty so turn on the **** water!". So after that trauma we check it multiple times a day to make sure the little white led is flashing on the pump which indicates it's on and even walk by it to make the water come out as a second level of confirmation.PROS:-Great water capacity-Super quiet operation-USB-C charging-Built-in filter assembly ensures clean water for our fur babies-Awesome battery life-Discrete LED lights confirm unit is on-Taller height and extra weight of water helps keep cats from knocking it over-Our cats drink a lot more water now, as confirmed by their litter box 'results'CONS:-Filters need to be replaced occasionally and are an added expense-If pump is not turned on or runs out of a charge then cats could be left without any water (we know this from experience, unfortunately!)-If water reservoir not kept filled-up with enough water then it won't dispense water properly (or at all)-If you have a larger cat they could find a way to knock this over and then you are dealing with a lot more water to clean up than with a standard-sized kitty water bowl.Overall, I highly recommend this waterer---just ALWAYS remember to confirm it's powered on after shutting it off after filling/cleaning.

Arrived on time and as expected.Packaging was very thorough and made sure the fountain arrived in perfect condition.The package comes with clear instructions, although it's such a simple set up it kind of seems self explanatory. Although there isn't anywhere that specifically says "Not Dishwasher Safe" -> it does mention to not use HOT water which means hand wash in warm water only to avoid damaging the water level window which is made of plastic, and the thin soft foam rubber attached to the outer base to keep it from slipping or damaging any surface it is placed on. Washing is very easy as the fountain comes apart easily for cleaning and replacing the filter. Being stainless steel the whole fountain is easier to clean than typical fountains that have a lot of plastic parts. It also helps if you have hard water or are using unfiltered water, any build up from tap water can be cleaned off with a bit of white vinegar if needed.The reservoir is large enough to accommodate 3-4 weeks of water, maybe longer, (for our one cat), which is great if you need to leave it that long, I would suggest replacing the water weekly however, just to keep it fresh.The water in this fountain is pumped completely through the filter (rather than around it or partially through the filter) so I feel the water is kept fresher and cleaner than other fountains we have used in the past.The fountain is at a comfortable height for an adult cat to drink from without being in a odd position, and our cat seems to prefer drinking from a spout rather than a bowl or trickled over an ornament like a flower or rock.The water level window is large, tinted blue, and is illuminated while in operation for clarity.There are three different modes for functionality: Constant water stream -which requires the included electric cord, Timed water -which will release water every 15 minutes for 10 seconds, and Motion Detected which will release the water for 6 seconds if activated. The battery seems to last quite a while and the charging takes a few hours to fully charge.This fountain is absolutely silent! I literally cannot detect when it is functioning unless the cat is in front of it or the light has been illuminated via operation.-->This is the fourth water fountain we have purchased. The first two were completely made of plastic, cute design, but after a few months became very noisy, almost like a sound machine set on "Babbling Brook". Which wasn't unpleasant, just kind of noisy. The third fountain was stainless steel, but again, after a few months became noisy -sounding more like a mechanism is buzzing while in operation, not disturbing, just noisy. All of the prior fountains had filtrations pads that sat below the water tray. They did catch a lot of whatever was in the water, however the water flowed over and or around the filter rather than completely through the filter. *This* fountain seems to be more efficient, cleaner, and absolutely quiet.If you've made it this far CONGRATULATIONS! I want to also add that in the packaging was a small card that invites the purchaser to contact the seller via email to receive 12 FREE filters. I have contacted the seller and asked for the free filters. The response was almost immediate. This tells me a few things: The seller is invested in their product, customer service, and retaining customers. Once I review the product and send a link, the seller will send out the filters. The seller informed me that this is her business and truly wants to be successful, so any issues with the fountain they are willing to address asap.If anything changes from what I have written above I will edit later to note any differences (sound, ease of cleaning, etc.)BOTTOM LINE: Extremely Quiet! Large Stainless Steel Bowl that is easily cleaned. Water passes *completely through* the filter to maintain clean fresh water. Good height for the cat to drink comfortably. Great Value. I recommend this water fountain. I have this fountain in my bedroom and it isn't disruptive. The pump is silent and glows a light blue when flowing, but it isn't bothersome. The sensor works pretty well, the only complaint is that it sometimes turns off when the cats are still drinking from it, however most of the time it will turn back on when it detects they are still there. It is wireless so I can place it anywhere and the battery is long lasting. It is easy to assemble and has easy to follow instructions. The design makes it easy and safe to clean. The seller also has a youtube with many helpful videos to assist with assembly and proper cleaning.

My elderly cat loves it the most, but hopefully my younger ones get to know it soon. The blue light that turns on seems to startle my shy cat, so he has not tried to drink from it yet.It takes a long while to charge it initially, but the battery life seems solid. It's VERY quiet; like, I never hear it and that makes me check it often to make sure the sensor is still working!Love the shallow dish to avoid whisker fatigue. I just wish that the water would flow a little longer while it's in sensor mode. It only runs for a couple of seconds, and cats tend to prefer drinking from the running water. On top of this, the spout is not very tall, so it makes it difficult for kitties to drink directly from the spout.Love that there are videos on YouTube with directions for cleaning and maintaining the pump. I have very hard water, so only time will tell if this pump can handle it.Overall, I feel this was a good purchase.
