HANGMAN Products TK400-4 Furniture Anti-Tip Kit

I have used many anti-tip hardware over the years and they were all name brand, made by children's product manufacturers. I have never been happy or felt safe using them and I don't understand why the other products are even used anymore when there is something like this. The other products come with a material piece that slides into another piece and it always gets looser and eventually I just start getting rid of furniture because I fear for my kids safety.Back to these wonderful pieces, they are easy to install and they don't come loose. Install one side into the stud in your wall and the other piece goes into the wood on your furniture. I have installed 5 of these on various pieces around the house, book shelves and dressers. There are several options for installation, but the one they recommend the most is installing under the top piece of wood on a shelf. I have done both ways and they are both very strong and I even got on the book shelf and tested it myself and this did not even budge.If you want piece of mind and know that your child can not tip anything properly secured with these steel cables, you should get these.

It is a simple and very sturdy design that allows you to secure things very close to the wall in several different ways so you can find one that fits your needs. We also used the strap kind of anti tip device and it has more slack when you put it next to the wall. You can’t get them tight enough. Using the pin system makes it easier to detach when it needs to be moved. My new favorite method.

Really easy to install, and very easy to disconnect if we need to move furniture around. I like the fact that's it's made in the USA, and feels nice and secure. I'd expect the screws to pull out of the wood before any of the components themselves fail.Update: I purchased a second set and they were made in Chin a(manufactured in 2019). Still recommended, and seem to be stoutest option that I've found. I MacGyver'd this to secure a small microwave we have on top of a pantry, and it works great.

*TWO kits are needed to anchor most dressers.* (One kit will only anchor one side, unless you put it in the very middle.) I felt this was a bit misleading.Other than that, seems very sturdy. Instructions were somewhat unhelpful but once I figured it out, it was easy to install with a power drill.

Update: Contacted manufacturer directly and they responded almost immediately, even on the weekend. Problem parts are being replaced and very helpful customer service.3 out of the 4 from my pack worked fine. The last kit I needed to use had both Clevis pins not fully drilled out. Of course I didn’t use this kit until the return window closed, but be on the lookout for this issue if you buy a multipack.

After we had an earthquake a couple of months ago I could not sleep for fear of the bookshelf next to my bed falling and killing me in my sleep! I ordered these and installed them on several bookshelves and dressers throughout our house. They were easy to install and feel very sturdy. We haven't had another earthquake, so I can't report how well they work, but I'm definitely sleeping better at night!

I really like that the construction of these is all metal. I had some very tall towers as part of an entertainment center and it was important to me to anchor furniture before my baby started crawling. These are solid and can work from anything from tall bookshelves, to smaller cubbies, and even home water fountains! Yup, one of these keeps my toddler from moving the water cooler from the wall and dumping it everywhere!

These were extremely easy to install and easy enough to unclip with the right tool if you need to move the furniture for some reason. I liked this style because I could hide them from the top of my bookcases easier. The only tricky part was getting the lynch pin all the way down -- it's really tight, but that's what you want! Again, with the right tool or someone with stronger hand strength could push down/remove the pins easily.
