Better than sprinkles purchased in the cake section of your local market in the U.S, but I have a biased opinion.
These are exactly what I used to eat for breakfast with a glass of fresh milk almost every day as a child in the Netherlands. (Think of it like the sugary cereal kids eat in the states.) These sprinkles are a very typical Dutch children's breakfast. Sometimes we'd vary it with Nutella or cheese and butter on bread. We'd always used thick, whole grain bread and fresh butter, and our dairy was delivered daily by horse and wagon... And no, this wasn't 100 years ago. This was in the 1990's. I've never seen this sold in these tiny boxes before! My kids love them! My first order arrived very fresh with no problems at all, and I've just ordered another. Each small box has the perfect amount to put on a piece of toast with butter, and these taste a little different than the sprinkles sold in the states for cake decorating... Maybe it's a texture thing or that they seem a little less sweet and hard than regular sprinkles here, but it takes me back to my childhood days. These are rather expensive since they are imported, but I use them as a special treat for myself and my family. I always try to buy bigger boxes when I'm in the Netherlands to bring back to the states, but we run out so quickly! It's great to be able to get them here. I recently discovered that what was just breakfast food for me is called "fairy bread" and used for children's parties instead of cake in New Zealand. (It may be a different product, but the pictures of the food online look very similar.) What fun! Look up "fairy bread" for some lovely pictures! I'm sure you could use just regular sprinkles from the cake section, but the taste of this brand, to me, is perfection.

Tiny packages and a bit expensive, wonderful if you want to try out some sweetness on your bread
What is not to love about the Ruyter..? We grew up with the Ruyter, delicious on a slice of toast with a bit of butter in the morning and a cup of coffee or tea, yummy!

These with butter on a rusk bread and it’s like a yummy vacation
These are so wonderful. But maybe I shouldn’t have bought them because now I want larger boxes of the dark! Yummm... if I close my eyes I feel like I’m in Holland with my Dutch family. Such a treat!

Loved them!
I bought these for Christmas morning breakfast with my grown kids. They loved them! Reminded them of childhood years when I bought the full-size boxes. I don’t eat sugar anymore so these tiny boxes were perfect. Part of the value to me is that nothing is going to waste, neither the product, nor my money. Five different varieties, full size would cost me four times as much! And they would sit in the pantry till next year.Pet peeve: when reviews reflect the fact that the reviewer didn’t pay attention to how much they were buying. The weight of the product is given. Amazon buyers are looking for reviews that reflect the quality of the product, not that someone thinks they spent too much because they didn’t read carefully enough. Go ahead and say the boxes are tiny, because they are, but don’t give it a one star rating because of that. Just saying.

Package was horrible! Product is good, but because it came ALREADY OPEN we could not safely use it!
I don't know who packaged and sent this but the box came dirty, open, broken, and already used. (See picture) This is a food product. How gross! It is also not eligible for return. That said, we love the product when we have it normally.

We ran out and I was happy to find more
Smaller than I expected, but these are the sprinkles that my half Dutch children have grown up with. We ran out and I was happy to find more.

Lekkerste.
I love to eat hagelslag once in a while and decided to buy them despite the fact that they are overpriced. I don't think I will purchase them again though for a while.
