I needed to extend my hose and fit a connector to my gas bottle so I could feed it through hole in table when needed. Adding this did the job. Quick release function works well so far. Just remember to turn off gas at bottle before activating this quick release function though as otherwise there is nothing to stop the gas just continuing to come out...wouldn't want that near an open flame!!

Very well engineered product, but after some debate I decided that I didn't want to keep connecting and disconnecting my gas supply, so I can't comment further on how it performs as I never used it

These are excellent. Bought two sets of these so I could easily swap the gas for my BBQ between patio gas and standard propane as I normally have both. Did the job perfect. Easiest way to get them in is to leave the end of the gas hose in warm water for a couple of minutes. Really helps.
