I'm a total convert
After a while of hesitating, I decided to give cups a try, so this was my first cup. It's brilliant—compared to tampons, it is more comfortable, more convenient, and I feel more confident about avoiding leaks. I was apprehensive about insertion and removal, but found the whole process easier than expected. I find the seal is created very easily once the cup is in place. Removal can be a bit tough at first: I found I had to 'bear down' to bring the cup further in reach, and then it's simply a matter of pinching to break the seal, after which it should come out easily. Do not simply tug on the stem without breaking the seal!Using a cup is less drying than tampons, you have to carry only one small thing in your bag, and there's no guesswork about which absorbancy you need. I also found out that cups cary a much lower risk of TSS. Of course, being reusuable, it is also better for the environment, as well as saving you money. I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner.I started using the cup towards the end of my period, when it was lighter. I think this helped me get used to using it with less risk of mess, so would recommend this to any others just trying it out for the first time.

DON'T JUDGE UNTIL YOU TRY IT!!!
I must admit that when my friend told me about these cups I was very sceptical at first. I haven't had any kids and I was usually a pad and tampon user so when my friend described the cups to me it sounded painful, odd and gross so I didn't buy into it at first. That is until I read similar reviews online about it saying that this was the best purchase that they had ever done. They also have other massive benefits compared to what I was using at the time such as; they are much better for the environment and your body and they save you a chunk of money as you can keep them for 10 years and don't have to keep on buying new ones after a few months. So after reading everything I had a change in heart and thought I would give it a go and WOW! Thank god I did.Yes the first try was very odd and at some point difficult/uncomfortable because it's a new experience and you are trying to adapt to it. You do have to find 'the right fold' for you - the box does come with it's own leaflet of diagrams but I actually found mine by having a look at some different ones on YouTube tutorial videos and trying them all out until one suited me. Yes sometimes leakage would happen which is to be expected - I made the smart decision to wear a pad until I did feel comfortable with how it was doing and I got it right, which I definitely I would advise first time users to do but once I got the hang of it I was very impressed with how it was doing and now no leakages happen- I have no worries with using it whilst going to the gym and doing all of my regular workouts and swimming. It is easy to clean and doesn't smell like certain tampons and pads do after a few hours and it comes in it's own little bag so you don't have to stuff loads of tampons or pads into your bag - especially on if you are going on holiday or whilst you're at work. However, it was removing part that concerned me deeply after hearing certain horror stories and reviews online - my advice, don't listen to them because that's them and not your body and it's all about practice. Yes at first scrambling around can feel uncomfortable and removing it feels horrible and at one point I thought 'that's it I'm going to A and E with the most embarrassing thing stuck' but I just took the advice of others online by relaxing, not forcing it and doing it my own way. Removing it still now and then can still feel like a struggle but it's bound to as it takes time getting used to it and I'm ok with knowing that as i just think of the benefits it has done for me.I have now turned into that friend who is recommending it to friends and family but I am glad that I changed my mind and made the switch as it's made life so much easier!!!!

You need this cup!
Love this cup. I am 25 and have had two kids, so I bought this cup because I heard it was pretty firm and easy to pop open - which is absolutely true. So easy to put in, pops open with absolute ease and comfort and sits really nicely inside. The length is good, I didn’t have to trim the stem. Love the colour and the material is very smooth, the bag it comes with is also really nice. I would deffo recommend this cup to a beginner or someone who has had children like myself. The only thing I could find as a down side is the amount of liquid it holds - the first 2 days of my period I was having to empty it more often, but to be honest I would have been changing a tampon the same amount of times. The rest of my period I only needed to empty it twice a day. Overall it’s a fabulous cup, I would totally recommend and I’m very happy with my purchase!

Definitely worth getting and the Lena team are beyond helpful!
I first bought the small Lena cup, as it was my first time using a period cup. The cup was easy to put in and the instructions that came with the product were really useful.I struggled the first couple of times removing the cup, but that was purely because it was the first few times of trying. After a couple of removals, it was really easy to do.Unfortunately though, my periods were too heavy for the small cup, as I had to keep on emptying it every 2-3 hours, so I emailed the Lena team and asked if it were possible to ship me the larger cup, as I was leaking with the small cup. They were so helpful and just asked a bit more about the reason behind why I felt I needed the larger size and shipped me the large Lena cup no problem (and no additional charge). The large Lena cup was just as easy to put in and remove as the small cup. I had no leaks with the large cup and haven't needed to empty it nearly as often.I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to try a period cup for the first time, or to change from the one they're currently using. The Lena team are also really, really helpful with any personal queries you may have.I also have the coil fitted and have had no problems with the period cups in regards to that either. I had the coil for over 6 months before trying a period cup.Hope this is useful for someone :)
