My bad!
I had to return this and order the one with the SO connector but the quality looked great and so was the one I reordered with the correct connection. If you don't need the cable connector on the mount this is for you.

The ball mount is perfect no complaints. The reason for 4.5 stars is in the description and instructions it shows stripping the coax cable and add wire connectors. The ball mount I receive has a connector for PL-259 cable end. Of course this is a better way to connect the coax cable.

Very good product, works great, wasn't happy that I couldnt buy the spring without the ball, but who cares, the spring was perfect for the set up I was building,

Good for the price and works as it should. Not heavy duty.
Seems to work. The weight and quality of materials is not heavy duty or superb. Installed on the roof of my van. it gives me a SWR reading of 1.6 to 1.9 with a 102 stainless whip. I worry about the lasting endurance of this unit and will probably switch to a puck mount which I did not know about at the time of purchase. The pucks are one-piece heavy duty stainless with no plastic parts. I am satisfied with this equipment and the way it functions. I am afraid the plastic parts could fail in a short time. Perhaps I am wrong. I know the old mounts were metal. Not a combination of metal and plastic.

Worked well, and is sturdy.I attached this above the rear right wheel on my 04 wrangler. It required some modification to the back bracket plate. I needed to file it down to fit, but it still worked fine. The spring is sturdy, and feels very strong. Attached a 9 foot whip antenna on it, and it works great.

iv not put this on my truck yet - but the overall build of this is very ridged -TUFF - and that's good I like the big look and sturdiness of this - matter fact im going to mount it up now , only thing is its a hardwire hookup to yer coax cable - so no screw on cable fer yall that cant figure out how to splice into yer lines , but I like it that way
