Awesome fan!!
This bathroom fan is great. The steam and humidity from showering is pulled out the room in no time. The mirrors also never fog when the fan is on during the time of the shower. The sound is also whisper quiet which is also a great feature.Awesome product!!

This thing is massive but perfect
My master bathroom is 200sqft. And the walls and mirrors are soaking wet after a hot bath. With this everything is dry like nothing even happened. It's a lot quieter than the aging one we replaced but it's not whisper quiet. We increased the duct pipe to 6", maybe 8" will reduce the sound some more.

Kind of loud, but it works great.
We put this thing in the bathroom because my wife’s poop smells and we have four cats. And their poop smells even worse. Or maybe not. Not sure. It is super strong and gets rid of the smell quickly. But it is pretty loud. I would definitely buy it again though because even though it’s loud, I don’t feel like vomiting when I go in the bathroom.

Very high power - needs some work to retrofit
As other reviews have stated, these seem intended for new construction. For a standard 2*6 ceiling you will likely need to do some work to install. I had to trim about 0.5" from each 2*6 along the length and height of the fan to make it fit. It doesn't diminish the structural integrity of the wood, but makes for a pain to install. With an oscillating cutter, all in, it took about 10 hrs from start to finish doing the full removal then install on my own.The quality of the fan is undeniable and the suction is impressive. The CFM ensures a quick air recycle in our bathroom with vaulted ceilings, reducing moisture in the room after showers etc.One important call out vs the listing is that there is no EZ bracket with the 40 model. As near as I can tell, Panasonic changed this in the new model that is also 10 CFM more powerful than the older version.Worth the price and very happy with the fan.

SOOOO LOUD IT HURTS.
Purchased this in Late April 2023 to replace a vent fan that was near 15 yrs old. Installed no problem in attic (above bathroom) By May it was all squealing metal with resonance like a bad bearing on a D9 Caterpillar. I removed it and it sits in the garage. Could not send it back (past 30 days). I was so bent I have not had the patience to start warranty claim. Yes my bust on that end but I am starting that claim now. pulls air like a large tornado but screams like a witch in flight, not a combatable combination.

Not for the average handyman to retrofit.
It’s a great fan which moves a huge volume of air fairly quietly. Definitely an advantage with six inch ductwork. I would buy this again. I bought two of them. Retrofitting can be a real issue I would hire an expert and it may still take 3 times longer to get installed than estimated. New construction would be much easier installation.

Resolved the post shower wet mirror
Five stars for the job it does. Bought to retrofit an average sized bathroom Had a handy guy install. Despite the reviews noting the retrofit difficulties, he installed in 2 + hrs without a complaint. The post shower wet room is completely resolved no matter how long the hot shower .Noise is less than expected for the job it does. ( but not “whisper quiet“) Look at the diameter of the intake duct, no comparison. I can literally feel the air being sucked out of the room. Installed a second and going for three. Didn’t realize the importance of a good fan. It’s a serious fan, no light show, no heat, no music or internet components. Updated comments: third fan installed . Again retrofitted without a problem. No regrets .I’m out of bathrooms so no more fans to install.

It is quiet and it works great - clears out burning food and fish smells fast
We returned it and are still waiting for our refund. It does not work well in an already finished house (new construction would work) because it does not fit in between 16 inch on center ceiling joists. We bought a smaller one (30VQ3) from the same company and use it as a kitchen exhaust fan in our old 1950's kitchen (no room for a hood). It is quiet and it works great - clears out burning food and fish smells fast.
